Bethel School District welcomes volunteers. Your involvement in schools helps students, teachers, staff and programs. The primary purpose of volunteers is to enrich the educational opportunities for all students. No previous teaching or professional experience is required to support students and staff in our schools.
Although your work in the schools is voluntary, the commitment is professional and you are, in effect, an agent of the District. As an agent of the District, you are expected to follow all federal laws, state laws, district policies, and staff directives. Before you can begin to volunteer in any school or school-sponsored activity, you must read and successfully complete the following:
Note: Any individual considered for volunteer service with the district who is allowed to have direct, unsupervised contact with students shall also be required to complete a fingerprint-based criminal records check.
- Non-discrimination
- Confidentiality
- Child Abuse: Mandatory reporting online course for Oregon parents
- Volunteer guidelines
- Criminal records background check
